\u201cCuriosity and a passion for the world of\u00a0television productions<\/strong>, led me to pursue a degree in media communication and advertising.<\/p>\n

At first, I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do, nor did I have any idea that the profession of Location Manager even existed when I discovered this field thanks to a job opportunity for\u00a0Ask4 Location<\/strong>\u00a0which has gone well and continues to go well, and that's why I can call myself a Location Manager in every sense of the word.<\/p>\n

To pursue this type of career path, you don\u2019t need specific, well-defined academic backgrounds; but if you\u2019re a dynamic person who can anticipate problems, get along with all kinds of people, stay organized, and have good aesthetic taste and an eye for beauty, it will be your experience, skills, and passions that shape your professional identity.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

What is a typical day like for a location manager?<\/h3>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n

\u201cThere\u2019s no middle ground, and it\u2019s a job where you never get bored. Some days are quiet, while others are extremely hectic. A \u201cquiet\u201d day would be a typical office day, involving calls with clients to discuss their requests in detail and put them in touch with venue owners. On a hectic day, on the other hand, you\u2019re out and about all day between\u00a0location scouting<\/strong>\u00a0to look for new ones, visit locations to photograph them and see them in person, and conduct site visits with clients in response to their requests.<\/p>\n

\u201dThese days, whether it's necessary or just to check in, we also stop by the set to make sure everything is going according to plan and that the owners can rest assured that the entire production is being handled properly.\"<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \n \n\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

What makes a venue perfect? <\/h3>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n

\u201cOne of the key requirements that makes a location perfect is the\u00a0space<\/strong>. It may seem strange, but this aspect sometimes even takes precedence over the beauty of the location, because any type of production or event requires\u00a0spacious areas<\/strong>\u00a0capable of accommodating many people as well as equipment and props. They must also be convenient from a logistical standpoint; in fact, film crews prefer\u00a0locations on the ground floor<\/strong>, with spacious and easily accessible elevators. For this very reason, it\u2019s important that the area where the venue is located isn\u2019t too crowded or right in the heart of the city center, so that vehicles have all the space they need to maneuver.<\/p>\n

One\u00a0perfect location<\/strong>\u00a0Then it must certainly\u00a0to tell a story<\/strong>. In fact, most of the requests we receive are for lived-in spaces\u2014homes that convey the warmth of family and intimacy and that stir the emotions.<\/p>\n

Last but certainly not least, the main selling points for a location are definitely the\u00a0owners<\/strong>; \u201d; working with homeowners who are accommodating, open-minded, curious, and eager to open the doors of their homes creates the ideal conditions for effectively balancing the needs of the production team, the homeowners, and the location manager.\"<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \n \n\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLet\u2019s just say that the way I draw inspiration in my research is the classic\u00a0scouting<\/strong>\u00a0on the road<\/strong>; I go around the city looking for places, jotting down addresses, leaving my contact information, and\u2014above all\u2014paying close attention to details and everything surrounding a location.<\/p>\n

Another approach that shouldn't be underestimated is the\u00a0social<\/strong>! Instagram is full of profiles that can serve as inspiration, and many users dedicate their profiles to their homes; in this case, too, it\u2019s very important to know how to engage with them and win them over!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \n \n\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Does a particular venue make your heart race?<\/h3>\n <\/div>\n \n \"\"\n \n \n

\u201cMany of the locations that make my heart race are the ones where it\u2019s a pleasure to work with the homeowners. Thanks to their willingness to cooperate, a synergy is created that makes working there a joy, and as a result, the location itself is able to convey its beauty.\u201d.<\/p>\n

I don't have a specific location in mind, but the places where I would live definitely hold a special place in my heart; those locations with the\u2019modern and contemporary furniture<\/strong>\u00a0with high ceilings,\u00a0spacious areas<\/strong>\u00a0that hold so much\u00a0light<\/strong>\u00a0and many\u00a0colors<\/strong>\u00a0such as our\u00a0Giordana's loft<\/a>\u00a0or those with\u00a0large windows<\/strong>, teeming with plants and\u00a0comfortable<\/strong>\u00a0like ours\u00a0Ermenegildo's loft<\/a>. \u201cI have so many stories to tell, but what always amuses me is seeing how the homeowners\u2014who are just ordinary families\u2014react when they find themselves in their living room\u00a0Michelle Hunziker<\/strong>\u00a0dressed in a diving suit, just like in the\u00a0Oral-B commercial<\/strong>\u00a0filmed at our\u00a0Vanessa's Villa<\/a>\u00a0o\u00a0Bruno Barbieri<\/strong>\u00a0who cooks Michelin-starred dishes at the\u00a0Lea's Loft<\/a>. Filming the\u00a0\u2018Superheroes\u2019 movie\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0where\u00a0Alessandro Borghi<\/strong>\u00a0starred alongside\u00a0Greta Scarano<\/strong>\u00a0in the living room of the beautiful\u00a0Yago's Apartment<\/a>.<\/p>\n
